A special rules class with Dick Engebretson, a certified USCA referee for 15 years. Rules are what separate golf croquet from backyard croquet, and some of them changed just a couple of years ago, so even experienced players may be surprised.

The social heart of the croquet week. Beginners and tournament regulars share the lawns for a few relaxed, friendly games with plenty of laughs and good-natured rivalry. No partner or experience required. Commonly, members bring a little snack to share and a beverage of their choosing.
Clinics from 2:00 to 3:00 are open to all. All members are invited to open play at 3:00, then Happy Hour at 4:00 in the 55th.
During major tournaments, Lawn 1 stays open for members' play.

Mission Hills has hosted the USCA National Championships, the Solomon Trophy and the MacRobertson Shield. The club's perpetual trophies are on display on the first landing of the Sports Club.
